On view at the Depot of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam.

You’re invited to take a seat on the bench, Pleased To Meet You. The work is a bench with hundreds of wheels that turns sitting still into a game. Johannes Langkamp (1985) is a German artist based in Rotterdam after studying at the AKI in Enschede. He makes spatial work in which he often plays and experiments with the relation between space and flat surface. His work is usually a combination of moving and spatial parts, which he sometimes combines with short video clips. With the bench Pleased To Meet You, he creates an object for the first time in which he transfers his curiosity to play onto the visitor.

The exhibition is on display now, until 23 October 2022.
